This show is fantastically funny! It's basically Louie putting the most uncomfortable parts of his life as a comic and single dad on display.
Episode 3 featured a great appearance by Ricky Gervais as Louie's doctor.

Watched episode one last night and I'm hooked. The scene where he smiles every time the girl on the bus looked at him had me in stitches! I'm pretty sure I was doing exactly that to the wife in my XTC story.

Somebody please tell me you've checked out "Louie". I know I can't be the only one laughing at this fucking show. This past week had one of the funniest airplane scenes I've ever seen on television.

Luckily, I've been managing to download this from a site that I won't name, but it starts with an 'E' & is very reasonably priced.
I really like this show. But I'm guessing it will divide opinion, due to it's lo-fi nature. You watch Louie shamble bewildered through the credits, & then the actual show just kind of continues in that vein. It's kind of an anti-sitcom, ain't it? Like they watched Seinfeld's last few seasons, where you had 4 plotlines weaving perfectly & seamlessly through 22 minutes & coming together for a resolution at the end, & thought... nah, fuck it. Louie's funny enough, & most other sitcoms are shit enough, that we don't have to worry to much about plot. Especially endings.
I've just realised that I've actually written a scathing review. Why the fuck do I actually really like this show?:rofl::rofl:
I dunno. But I do. For all the reasons above, I guess.

I enjoy this show, but not as much as I'd hoped after episode one. Definitely showcases crazy people and uncomfortable moments as well as anyone, though! And I download it FREE at Demonoid.com.

I really been diggin' this show. The scene where he's dating the heinous Jewbroad & he keeps flashing that retarded smile at her every time she looks at him was slayin' me. Mostly because he didn't mug up the smile for the cheap laugh, but just kept doing a regular smile over & over. Christ.
Somewhere in the Sarah Silverman book she tells a story of (almost positive) Louis CK when they were writers on some new show and the head writer had just gotten his own office with his own private shitter.
On the weekend before their first day of work, CK & some other writer broke into dude's office bathroom and one of 'em took a huge, wicked shit and it sat in the bowl (no toilet paper in sight, as Silverman points out), and they made a flag out of toothpicks & cardboard.
They stuck the flag in the turd, and on the flag it just said "I know what you did last summer." Does it get better? I submit it don't.

If you didn't see last week's season premiere of "Louie", you missed one of the best gags I've ever seen on TV. Do yourself a favor and find it online.
New episode tonight @ 10:30 EST. On FX. Re-broadcast @ 11:30 EST.
Then last week's season premiere re-runs @ midnight EST. You'll laugh. Hard.

B, thanks for the heads up. It is set to record later this evening.
Btw, I just watched the first few minutes of the new fx series called willfred, I didn't know anything about the show but the first few minutes were great wish fulfillment for me, yep it has elijah woods trying to kill himself. Yep, wish fulfillment.

It's been good this season. Anyone catch the latest episode (5 I think)? Him gettin' off to that Who song in his car had me giggling.

My favorite so-far has been his awkward sex with the single mom. Christ, that was uncomfortable. Just when you think it can't get any worse...

I don't know from this show but I'm astounded by the amount of good new material LCK has in his act. Something new seems to pop up on Netflix every few months and it's all good shit. Maybe I'm watching old stuff that's just coming out on Netflix now, I dunno.
