Oh, yes, as for beers. for drinking alot (session brew):

Full Sail IPA
Bridgeport IPA
Sierra Nevada Celebration
Deschutes IPA
Deschutes Jubelale
Sierra Nevada IPA (I have never had it bottled, only at the brewery)
Deschutes pale
Sierra Nevada pale
Full Sail amber

after those, I'll take any of those 4 brewery's stouts or porters...

down with nitrogen stouts... :(

As for pissbeers, I'd have to go Heineken first.. Pilsner Urquell next.. And I'm drinking MGD right now. But I'm already drunk. American pissbeer doesn't even rank.. it's just for getting drunk, which it does!

Jesus, people are drinking that swill all the way out there too? You should move to Portland, OR, where PBR is THE beer of choice for hipsters who like to pretend they're working class/ white trash.
PBR has but one advantage: it is, indeed, very cheap.

Any kind of dark English beer (i.e., Bass, NewCastle, Harp, etc.) gives me horrifying diarrhea. A brewer friend of mine says it's 'cause the vats they brew in are hundreds of years old and they've got all kinds of funky stuff growin' in em. That's why they have that distinctive funky flavor.
I don't have this problem with stouts, like Guiness or Boddington's. Wonder why.

Bass is great. As part of a black and tan it's even better. Bud Select is neat, kind of gimmicky, but you've got to taste that "clean finish" to believe it.
Finally, Busch Light. No one will mistake you for an intellectual, pretend or otherwise, with one of those in your fist.

I just tried Pyramid Hefe Weizen on tap. MMM MMM good. Because it's unfiltered, it has a cloudy appearance and a thick texture. A nice mouth feel, if you will.

There used to be a great German restaurant in the San Fernando Valley—Hoppe's Old Heidelberg. They served a cloudy white beer with a shot glass of raspberry syrup you added yourself. Sweet.

Ace Pear Cider is nice, but yeah I know, it doesn't count.

When I want to kill snails in my garden, I buy the cheapest beer I can find, generally Ice House. Even cheap beer ain't so cheap no more.

While I like your taste in single-malt Scotch, you obviously lack the refined taste buds for excellent sipping whiskey (read: fine Southern American whiskey).

As for beer, having formerly been engaged as a brew-off taster (not to mention a devotee of the hops), I herewith give my picks of fave beers, which are also some of the best beers.

1. Bass - best beer on the planet, end of story.
2. Guinness - only on tap and in Ireland.
3. San Miguel - hey, if it was good enough for MacArthur, it's good enough for me.
4. Saint Arnolds Lawnmower - for those lucky enough to have access to this awesome nectar, feel special.

Ill agree that Corona is not a top shelf beer. Heck Id imagine that a few mexicans take a leak in a bottle to get back at those "gringos." Still, a Corona filled with lime, a beach, maybe a few babes in bikinis...life is good boogie on\\:D/

Actually, before Corona went corporate, you really didn't want to know what they were putting in the bottles. Back in the mid-80s when I visited one of their production facilities, it was amazing to watch the bottles go through the processing line. Some bottles would end up dark yellow, while others came out a cloudy pale yellow. I swore to myself at that moment never to drink that swill again. Of course, I already thought it was crap at the time, so it was no biggie.

But, that kind of points out what's really cool about beer, movies, books, music, etc. Our tastes are so subjective that nectar to one person may be donkey piss to the next.

BTW, if you're looking for a much better Mexican beer alternative (my opinion, of course) to Corona, try Bohemia, Modello or even Dos Equis green.

Amen, brother. Call me a poof if you like, but that's a refreshing beverage. Corona is still seen as pretty exotic over here. Given added glamour by Vic Mackie & the Strike Team drinking it after theyve cracked some Messican heads.

When it finally stops raining here, & the sun comes out for a few minutes, I like to sit in the beer garden of a pub & neck a few pints of Kronenbourg & lime whilst photographing the young ladies there. I keep the photos in a green gym bag. And from time to time I take them out & look at them.

Stella is the most popular of the stronger lagers you get on tap in pubs. I prefer Kronenbourg 1664. I don't want to sound like Frasier Crane writing for his wine club, but Kronenbourg has a more hoppy taste, whilst Stella seems slightly metallic to me.

As for the weaker lager, Fosters is in virtually every pub, followed by Carling & Carlsberg.

If you're lucky, a pub will have Heineken on tap, & if you're REALLY lucky they'll have Staropramen. I love that stuff.

To be honest, I'll drink anything.
