n00b Question: What happened between SFJ and Phil Hendrie?

I realize it is a total n00bian question so feel free to flame me hard but whatever happened between you guys and Phil Hendrie?

Lionna, things happened. Bad things... We were inPHILtrated by a kabal of ex-gamers in search of hippy poon from a secret country. They said bad things about Phil and we took the fall. We're innocent I tell ya... It was the one-armed man!

Phil started giving up. He developed a real elitist attitude despite having to have his rear end pulled out of numerous precarious situations. He really was pathetic. He even stopped bathing. Towards the end he was telling everyone how to behave despite his boorish behavior. The final straw was the regular rants about Jerry Lewis.

It really is a convoluted story, Lion. The prevailing theory in very short form is that a former member spread lies to Phil about things said here, Phil believed it, and flipped us all off.

Well thats a bummer, has Phil ever offered an olive branch or perhaps offered to buy you guys chocolate. Speaking of a bummer, listening to Phil's new show right now; hes talking with his new proffesor who strangely sorta sounds like a black vernon dozier at times :-k

Tod Leo, for me it was always about the show- not so much the man. I known he's been a real prick toward the SFJ members, but I don't care. I still love him. His old show, anyways.

Yea its really a shame TBL. But even if this had become a "Hendrie hate site" (which I realise it never was), reading over the older posts it wouldve been justified especially since some of you guys sent in your own recordings plus there is STILL no archive from 2001. But whatever its still the best show in the history of talk radio. I feel bad Phil never made it as an actor. I never saw an ep of Teachers, was he any good in it?

Never saw Teachers- but I saw a short clip of his in something else he did- all I remember is it had to do with baseball (?). Help a brother here, you choads. What was it called? Anyway, he was sitting at a desk, in a suit, looking quite heavy, old, pale, and a little scary. I don't think he's *inherently* a bad-looking man, but he was distinctly unappealing in that shot. Maybe bad makeup, maybe his facial expression, I don't know. He just wasn't pleasant to look at. If he looks that way always in front of the camera, it's no wonder his TV career failed.

Also at the end he was so full of big talk making it sound like every bit of audio ever recorded including the first time he ever said DA DA was going to be on the site and it never happened. He's free to let the archives be incomplete but I can't be the only one who subscribed based on those promises. Once bitten and so on.

He was fine but, oh man, the leads were so hard to watch. The guy had that stupid matthew perry smirk half the time and the gal was so annoying you wanted to strangle her. It was only tolerable because of the graceful curves of the Shahi.
