A very strong outing last night (10.13.2009).. 1st hour (40 full minutes) Bobbie and Steve are tattooing the young girls at their sons Middle school... Obama tattoos below the panty line...

Bobbie: "What business do mothers and fathers have looking at their daughters nude ass?"
Steve: "You said it"

Hour 3 : Steve Bossell was on to break new ground in suing a private Christian School... Steve Jr. was wrongfully suspended for pile-driving another 6th grader who he thought was carrying a liquid explosive to school.

Phil sounds a little rough still and the sound effects (background noise) are a bit off, but all in all, it's a noble attempt.

I heard some of the show last friday, and it was the same format as the oldPHS. Not as strong, he seemed a bit rusty. But it was a step in the right direction. Glad to hear he is continuing. I'll have to check out last nights show. TTHanks for the heads up dooly.

Not a problem Ed :tip: ...

I think the Phil needs to get some writing help, and some tech improvements, but all in all the show is back in spirit...

... I've just got the word: Herb Sewell may be back on the air tonight...

Fucin' classic...

Hour 3 of October 30 2009... (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?qjtzmmyo4th)

Steve Bossell's latest lawsuit against MSNBC showing a woman graphically self examining her breasts, finds the instructional program a little too offensive and titillating.

About the 19 minute mark:

Steve to the Caller: "You don't know what it is to be a man and to see a pair... Oh god.. "

Phil to Steve: "You know, when you're saying "seeing a pair", they're not presenting it as pornography...."

Steve: "They're not telling me anything, they're just saying and now here's a pair! Take a look at these... Have yourself a nice day!... And I'm sitting there with a child, a little tiny child. And they didn't tell me anything, didn't give me a chance from Jump street ... Wouldn't you'd be outraged if in the middle of his show, David Shuster dropped his shorts and started checking for a lump???... "

:rofl::rofl::rofl: :tip:

I believe the fat man has come back to form with that episode.

Verno
11-03-2009, 02:38 PM
The best line from that bit was when Steve asks the caller "Is the reason you don't get excited is because you call them 'Mammy glands?'" After the caller says no Steve says, "Life is so confusing."

The old man's getting better but he's got a long way to go. I like the new black professor but I didn't care for that new tranny character. And that Dozier bit on Friday was way off. Where's RC?! And where in hell is Jay Santos and Ted Bell?

Booze
11-03-2009, 02:43 PM
Ted was in the show I listened to (the 2nd or 3rd night of the relaunch), but after the Ted's jingle, he handed the phone to that Black Professor for the rest of the hour. I felt well cheated.

Patrick Dooly
11-03-2009, 02:48 PM
Mammy glands!! HA HA!!! So sweet!! Mammy!

I was really hoping for Jay Santos and crew to fan out and do some flare drops on Devils Night..

I agree it'd be nice to hear RC again, I don't know if it would work due to the late hour of the broadcast.. Lloyd and Harvey haven't made appearences yet either... And only a few Herb bits, which were wishy washy at best.

I thought the Vernon bit on the 29th was fantastic.

I'm listening to the November 2nd show now, and the Doug Dannger bit was a little weak... just not that funny... I've never been a huge fan of Doug.

The tranny could be funnier.. has potential... I do not care for Robert in studio, or the two guys from Carolina ....

His ranting bits are a bit better now that he doesn't have to do them for 3 full hours...

If they could adjust the character volume, they'd be on target a bit more, it's really hard to hear Doug and Bobbie... Bobbie's bits are really funny still, just really hard to hear, even with headphones... I'm liking the return to the old format... FINALLY!

Patrick Dooly
11-03-2009, 02:49 PM
Yeah Booze, that was dirtypool... They finally play the jingle in whole again! But, a lack of Ted stinks

Yeah, Senior Chat with Harvey... I'd love to hear a new Harvey bit...

I'd love to hear that Phil has handed the last hour of the show over to Harvey or Lloyd because he's got the squirts and hear Harvey or Lloyd interact with Bud for an hour and discuss politics or some other hot topic... The audience wouldn't know what the fuck to think..

Anyone get the chance to listen to last nights show?? Nov 3?? Three character segments.. Larry on hot/milfy conservatives... Harvey Wireman on why cops have to taser old ladies... Vernon on starving American children to weed out the weak ones. Each segment was close to 40 minutes of character interaction.

Larry popped a Savvy?.. Harvey forced bud to pod up Electric Avenue by Eddie Grant during his conversation... Vernon broke off hold and then had a meltdown...

Phil had some good calls last night as well.

The fat man is rounding the bend.. so to speak.

I'd like to hear from Patrick Dooly on the new Phil Hendrie character bits.

Patrick Dooly
11-05-2009, 02:17 PM
There are a few new characters:

Jack Armstrong (politcal blogger) sounds like a bad mix of Father James McQuarters and Rudy Canoza... IMO, It's a shitty character which has had about 3 or 4 segments since the show returned to the old format...

Kurt Qweedy and Guy Barton (2 Carolina Senators) I think were on in 2005/2006 for really small bits... seem to be used mostly for racial/political spoofs..

Emory Clayton seems to be taking over for Pastor William Rennick.. Emory hosts the "Sunday Gospel Hour" which plays to BSP members on Sunday afternoon (sucks)... Although most of Emory's bits are the "black view" on Obama/politics... I have never watched the Sunday Gospel Hour...

Dr. Ron Tarner (basically Roland Schwinn, just less fat).. On environmental / science topics... Had a number of appearences..

Marilyn the tranny.. Funny character, a weird mix of Herb Sewell psychosis and Phil's typical female overt sexuality.. She's had like 2 bits thus far, not bad, but not great.

IMO, it's seems like there has been an improvement in the content and writing of the show over the past week, as I commented earlier, the latest Steve Bossell bit was really funny, and the whole November 3rd show was great from start to finish with Larry, Harvey and Vernon all having good calls, good material to work with, and Phil seemed really in control of the flow of those shows.

To me it seems Phil is focused the satire of the show more around the political issues, he uses Emory, Kurt & Guy, Jack, Larry, Doug and Bob Green to anger up the callers around the political issues.

With regards to the established characters:

The Bobbie and Margaret voices don't sound as good as they used to, Phil's voice doing Bobbie is really hard to hear... It probably has something to do with his home studio setup... (On the other BBS there are a lot of complaints regarding the sound volume of the characters)...

Vernon has been on a lot (about 5 segments), as well as Larry, Steve, Bob Green and Margaret.. RC, Justin, Jay Santos, Clara, Art & General, Dean, Rudy, Raj, Dave Oliva, and Lloyd have yet to make appearences...

The studio mix started off sounding really spotty, the background noises are very hit/miss, and not very defined... lately they have been better in definition.

The November 4 show features Jack Armstrong commenting on the New York election results, Margaret is commenting on the V show (and the universal healthcare jab), Herb I think is talking about serial killers... I haven't gotten that far yet.

Phil is promising a website update for the new year, plus content delivered via podcast/itunes... Sounds to me like a lot of Phil's old stations are picking him up again...
