No, but I've been hearing about it lately, and I'd be curious to get some member's opinions about it. I'm not even clear on EXACTLY what it do.

I'm thinking about building a Boxee machine. The fact that you can stream Hulu to it is a big plus (now that there's a workaround for the lockout).

Wages, think of it as an online TV aggregator. Hulu, YouTube, CBS, ABC, Netflix and others all browsable and accessible on your TV.

I think hulu won't let boxee stream from them anymore. I tried it but find using streamthechannel easier.

Officially they don't - that's why there's a workaround.

So, it's something that you can hook up to your TV so you can watch Youtube vids on it? I tried hooking up a laptop to the PC-IN on my TV a couple weeks ago and it was more of a pain in the ass than anything. Take a mediocre quality vid on a small laptop screen and enlarging it to a TV really diminishes the quality. That and having to run a separate audio line made it really not-worth the hassle.

But I did see an interesting contraption that'll transmit an HDMI signal via wifi (I think). It would be neat to have but the cost was astronomical.

It's media center software.

well it is a media center software that takes a by ch of streams and puts them In one spot so you can control it from the couch and have the tv hooked up to the pc but get lots of streams on the tv which most media center software doesn't do...

it only runs stable on linux and mac... there is an alpha for widows though.

I wanted it to stream to my xbox 360 and seeing as it is the same source as media center I thought it would work... it didn't though.

I need to build a cheap media center pc...
