I was always a Moore guy 'cause he was the Bond of my generation. This new guy is pretty good, though. I need to see more.

What Wedge said, and I don't even know the new guy's name. Traditionally, EVERYONE cherishes the Bond of their generation, but why I make this one HUGE exception has as much to do with the rewriting of the character as it does the actor himself.

A fallible bond who gets the shitty end of the stick most of the time, and doesn't rattle of the cheap bumper-sticker one-liners every five minutes... this all works for me. Dalton had the "look" of a good Bond, but had the charisma of a putty knife. Brosnan's just fucking fruity--no two ways around THAT. Connery? I can't stand that over-affected accent. Fuck'im.

I grew up watching Sean Connery. I totally agree on the accent, but at least he looks like he could whoop somebodies ass, just ask his wife. Brosnan was the franchise low point for sure. But this new guy, Daniel Craig, is pretty damn good.

You got that right. You see him the clip of him singing in that Mamma Mia bullshit? Worst Bond ever.

I'm a Connery fan - none better. Craig is a close second.

I'd like to see Roger Moore die in a fire with his Preening Old Queen portrayal.

Sean Connery. He ass-banged his way through Hollywood. You should hear him on Kevin and Bean!

The new Bond is the *only* Bond who hasn't been "slick," and I think that makes him top pimp. Hell, it don't matter: I still watch "Spy Who Loved Me" once a year ritually and can never let go of it. This is a really fuckin' tough poll.

I'd never even heard of the guy, Bip (to be honest, I'm not much of a Bond fan at all), so I looked him up on Wikipedia.

During the film's production, Lazenby's manager Ronan O'Rahilly convinced him to refuse a seven-film contract, because he thought James Bond passé in the youth culture of the times.

And here's a list of what he did instead:

* Universal Soldier (1971)
* Life and Legend of Bruce Lee (1973) (archive footage)
* The Last Days of Bruce Lee (1973)
* The Shrine of Ultimate Bliss (1974)
* The Man From Hong Kong (Alternate title: The Dragon Flies) (1975)
* A Queen's Ransom (1976)
* The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)
* Bruce Lee, The Legend (1977)
* Game of Death (1978) (archive fighting footage)
* Death Dimension (Alternate title: Black Eliminator) (Alternate title: Freeze Bomb) 1978)
* Saint Jack (1979)
* The Nude Bomb (1980) - cameo appearance as James Bond
* General Hospital (1982) (TV Series)
* The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1983) (TV Movie) - as the Bond-like character "JB"
* The Master (1984) (TV Series)
* Never Too Young to Die (1986)
* Superboy (1988) (TV Series) - recurring guest role as Jor-El
* The Evil Inside (1992)
* Emmanuelle's Secret (1992)
* Emmanuelle's Revenge (1992)
* Emmanuelle's Perfume (1992)
* Emmanuelle's Magic (1992)
* Gettysburg (1993) - as Confederate Brig. Gen Johnston Pettigrew
* YuYu Hakusho: Eizo Hakusho (1993) (voice)
* Emmanuelle's Love (1993)
* Emmanuelle in Venice (1993)
* Emmanuelle Forever (1993)
* Batman Beyond (1999) (TV Series) - recurring role as King (voice)
* Batman Beyond: The Movie (1999) (TV Movie) (voice)
* The Pretender (1999–2000) (TV Series) - recurring guest role as the hero Jarod's father Major Charles
* Four Dogs Playing Poker (2000)
* Spider's Web (2001)
* YuYu Hakusho: Ghost Files (2002) (TV Series) (voice)
* Winter Break (Alternate title: Sheer Bliss) (2003)

It was a tough choice, but I went with Connery. Moore is a VERY close second. When I hear or read the name Roger Moore I always think of that scene in Lost in Translation with Bill Murray and the gook photographer.

"You know Rah-jah Mooooorre!?" lmao

It's the hundred year anniversary of James Bond writer Ian Fleming and the London Times has a big spread with a timeline and lots of little articles and lists of favorite bond villains, babes, locations, gadgets, cars and more. I don't look forward to bond films but I sees em when they come along and usually enjoy them (the last one was better than most).

Anybody know what "Quantum of Solace" means? That's the name of the next Bond flick and I can't make any sense of it. I'm really looking forward to it (trailer available at Apple.com movie trailers (http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/quantumofsolace/)), but that title sucks.

It sounds like the band name for a shitty college band from the early 90s...like "Kitchens of Distinction".
