I know this forum is usually for anything funny, not usually serious, but I just want everyone to pray and send your warm wishes to all the soldiers in Iraq. My uncle is over there and flies Blackhawks. His best friend died just last week in a crash. I needed an outlet to voice my prayers and thoughts for all the men and women over there. Your thoughts are welcome and just thinking of all of them today would be great. Thanks.

my dad flew cobras in 'the nam'. he took a bullet and lived to tell the tale but not before he greased some bowl haircuts, to put it colloquially. i hope your uncle has good luck on his tour.

I've got several friends "over there". Can you give a name? Or at least just a first name. I hope they all get back. And soon.

I'm proud as hell of your men and women who bravely risk their lives for your wonderful country. I'm Canadian, but I've always loved America and Americans. I've been to the US many, many times, and your people are the salt of the Earth. They'd give you the shirt off their back, and I love them. I'm VERY vocal up here in defending the USA, because as many of you may well know, Canada has far too many America bashers. Not just Bush-bashers, but all out bigotry for your great country. And I NEVER tolerate it. Stay strong MLC - your uncle would want it that way.

I second this sentiment. I'm an Aussie in London and often find myself arguing with my media colleagues who are lame, predictable bashers of President Bush and the United States (including my American boss!) especially pertaining to the miraculous job the US-led Coalition of the Willing have done in Iraq.
Mr Hendrie has a lot of the qualities that I love about Americans; patriotism, resolve, enterprise and heart. Sorry if this sounds like I'm sucking knee caps but this is the way I feel, savvy?

My uncle's name is David and his unit is out of Alaska. I've always been pro-military and Bush...now that it actually hits close to home, I have a knot in my stomach every time I hear about another casuality. All I can say is "Guys go kick some Raghead a**!!"
Thanks for all the posts and thoughts concerning Iraq.

thoughts and prayers are with them all, Freedom Craving Iraqi's included.
and its real swell to hear all this international support for what we are trying to accomplish in the middle east...

My best to your uncle and all of our true heroes in the military. And all my prayers for their safe return.
