They are a tool of segregation. To show who has had an email read by phil, or talked to him on the . Last i heard they were no longer being produced.

The headphones aren't consistent with different people. Some have lots more posts with the same number of headphones or less...

It shouldn't be too confusing anymore. The On Air rank is gone. Now everybody is on the same level. It goes solely by post count or admin/mod status. The more you post, the higher you rank. I'm adding some new ranks now.

Oh, and you can have different titles with the same rank. So your title may change but your headphones will stay the same till your next official rank up. So much for less confusing...
