I've just read some of the reviews and it looks like this is the ULTIMATE online multiplayer FPS so i thought it threadworthy.

I preorder games all the time at Gamestop and Gamecrazy and they've never sold my copies. With all the hype for this game it may well be hard to find (I had trouble finding Bioshock, a much less hyped game). I'll be getting mine this afternoon (and skip a night of school).\\:D/

I dont really care about this one seeing as how i never played the first two and figure i would i would be getting a less than complete experiance. Besides i am still only about 1/2 way through bioshock. So no, i am not jumping on this halo train. At least not for now.

Howie, Melon... and any other choads what I seen on my list playin' Hayla... I have just one question:

After YEARS of development, and far after the advent of WIDESCREEN televisions... are you telling me that when you play a two-player campaign, the screen FORCES itself to a square, leaving black strips on the sides?!! I remember this happening in the beta version, but I figured that was just beta.

Now, I plug this whore in, start a sola campaign, and it's normal widescreen--kickin' ass, blah blah blah. But, we go for a two-player campaign, and the goddamn thing goes SQUARE SCREEN, with NO OPTIONS to change it (and, no, it ain't my TV). Am I high, or did they REALLY fuck this up?

I think the developers thought it would be to narrow to do a split screen widescreen co-op. It seems like it would be to narrow,based on my TV. But i'm just guessing. Alot of games are not even including this feature anymore.

What difficulty are people playing on? Heroic was too hard for me, I'm getting hit by fuckin' snipers and brutes shots that I can't even see where they're coming from. So I bumped it down to "Normal".

What's funny (if that's true, Melon) is that the center of any TV (splitting screen horizontally) doesn't change, regardless of how narrow or wide the TV is... so it still chews chee. Those fuckers. (And, compressing it from left to right only makes it look shittier. Yeah, that's my only complaint so far, in all of my 12 minutes of playin' it.

Won't get back to it till Monday night. Multiplayer's where it's at, anyway, but I DO love the online co-op... 4-way no less. That will be huge.

I tried the campaign. I'm way too embedded in Bioshock and must finish 'fore I can pick up Hayla again. I'm currently torchin' bee hives and bashing video game versions of AJ in the face with wrenches and marinating them in napalm. It's addictive. For sure.

Its Halo 2 in HD. The single player doesn't seem nearly good as Bioshock but apparently its all about the multiplayer which i havent looked at yet, i'm not great a FPS player to be honest - Larry would probably school my ass.

I was thinkin of tradin it in cos it might be one of those games that i never play eg;COD 3 and Dead Rising, plus Sega Rally and FIFA are both out tomorrow and i wanna get one of em.

The way i see it games like Dirt and Sega Rally are very different to Forza 2.

Forza 2 is a dry and unforgiving simulator. Amazing yes but not for everyone.

Dirt and Sega Rally are arcade games, pick up and play and a lot of fun.

You can't really compare the two to be honest, they both have their place.

So i delved into Hayla 3 online multiplayer last night...totally different game. Played it for 5 hours straight and eventually tore myself away at 2am.

Serious fun, best online shooter i've ever played BY FAR.

I can't see myself ever playin the solo campaign mode to be honest.

I'm sittin' there playing a kick-ass game on my 47" flat screen while playing AND talking with some cat (that'd be Howie, duh) that's sittin' 5000 miles away from me. No lag, no disconnects, no scrambled signal, no garbled voice signal. And I'm doing it all from a wireless headset and controller.... It.... it.... it was f-ing beautiful man.
