Climbed inside an elephant's rectum?

Years ago I learned that there was this African tribe during whose funeral rites one member of the tribe would climb inside the recturm of an elephant (alive or dead I'm not sure.) I ain't makin' this up. And so, naturally, I wondered if anyone here had ever done this? I haven't, but then I don't get out much.

Was it? I don't remember that, though I did see those movies. I first learned about this form of spilunking while in college in the early 80s. I just wanted to get a rough idea of how many folks here have had this experience.

Let me explain something:

Some jungleman swinging on a rope is not welcome in an elephants sacred backyard. Therefore, when said bushman decides he's gonna crawl up in there, the elephant is gonna wanna change this situation. And finding a three foot tall bushman in a mountain of elephant crap ain't easy.
