I was just wondering if any of you know of someone (or maybe even some of you may feel compelled to make a confession here) who has ever called a sports betting consulting company to get "inside information" before laying down some cash on a bookie. I am fascinated with this rather shady industry and I wonder how some of these "firms" stay afloat for so long. If any of you saw the rather disappointing "Two For the Money" you will know exactly what I am talking about.

I used to wake up early on Saturday mornings just to watch this Stu Feiner guy's weekly infommercial. I must confess I could watch this guy all day:

I've done it. Twice. And I'm 0 fer 2, and would never recommend it! One was guaranteed, but had a scam they couldn't statistically lose -basically double up as needed until a hit. One was a telephone service and the "guaranteed" one was freewinners.

I don't gamble, but I gotta admit that Feiner guy's show is pretty mesmerizing. There's something vaguely Hitlerian about his arm-waving, sudden-screaming delivery. I want to believe in Stu!

And God, Santa, and the tooth fairy... They aren't that good or they'd make a fortune betting the lines themselves instead of taking a menial fee to give pics.

Well, yeah! If you were already making a fortune betting long shots, why would would you bother selling your secrets? I just like Stu's delivery - he should preach

Eh, I've pretty much come to understand that all of those guys are anything but legit. I don't bet on sports a whole lot, but I will throw $5-10 on a 5+ game teaser parlay during football season at Bodog.
FWIW, this guy (http://gamblingreviewssite.com/freepicks) is probably more reliable than those scam artists that you hear on the radio, infomercials, etc.

Yes, but not as entertaining.
