Un-freakin-believable!! As a huge, huge Browns fan (and a ND fan) yesterday was absolutely amazing. We got the stud LT that has eluded the Browns for years due to poor drafting/FA signings.
And......WE GOT BRADY QUINN AT #22 (insert man crush here :heartbeat: )!!
If you told me we'd end up with 2 of our top 3 choices in the 1st round, no way Id believe that. This is Cleveland, nothing good happens here!
Im still beaming!
And for a 2nd Rounder and next years 1st Rounder its a great value. We'd prb draft QB next year anyhow, and the QB class is less than stellar.
Woo Hoo!! :tipofthecap: :score:

Wow, really. So, you got an OL that should have gone around 6 to 8, and you got a weak-armed QB with happy feet.
Go Browns. :poke:

You bastard middlefinger
Locked up the O-line, and got a great QB...I couldnt be happier.
I mean its not a 19 year old, one year wonder from Louisville...but hey, thats the same team that passed up on Reggie Bush for...foooooor.....some D-lineman :phfreak:

Keep on smackin', Mike. After all, after giving up a #2 and next year's #1, you better pray that pretty-boy also gives blowjobs. Based upon the look of his airhead sow yesterday, I'm guessing she knows Mssrs. Williams and Okoye personally.

Hahahahaha...Im just playin man. I know Reggie Bush is a touchy subject.
I didnt throw any smack around to begin with, just expressing my happiness about the Browns draft.
We got the #2 back, and picked up Eric Wright from UNLV who looks to be a decent CB. Was a star at USC, then like a dumbass got in trouble. I guess he cleaned up his act.
As for the #1 next year...most Browns fans dont have a problem with that at all. Considering how the 1st Rd turned out. We would most likely draft a QB in the 1st next year anyhow. So we get that pick now, and a year of expirience under his belt.
And yeah, Brady could do better than what he was with yester day...
Well here's to Bush having another great year in Houston! KIDDING!
As a Browns fan, I have little to no room to talk draft smack...
Brady Quinn is awesome.
That is all.

Mike, I know you're kidding. So am I - sorta.
Quinn is going to be a mediocre NFL QB, at best. While the trade move was indeed bold, at the end of the day you still have to weigh the results by the outcome of the trade. And, I'm sorry, but this year's QB slate sucks. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kolb and Beck turn out to be the best QB picks this year.

Meh...saying he's is going to be mediocre is like me saying he is going to be great. There is no "is". Nobody knows how he is going to shake out, but right now he's an upgrade from Charlie Frye/Derek Anderson. He had a great college career, something like 68 TD to 14 INT, just about every passing record at ND, and played on teams with bad D's and a sub par running game. Without Brady Quinn those ND teams are barely .500.
Now he could be Rick Mirer...and he could be Joe Montana. But he is the one QB to have played in a pro style offense.
I didnt see any of the other Houston picks, how did their draft go? I hope the Okoye kid does well, 19 yrs old and in the NFL! Wow.

Games against the armed forces will make your stats look better then they should be.

No doubt...but every college team has a cupcake on its schedule.
Ohio St has Youngstown State (my alma mater, 4 time Div I-AA champs), Kent State, and Akron this year so...its just a fact of life. They also play Michigan, USC, Penn State, Michigan State...etc.

Fellas, I'm no Notre Dame sidewalk alumni, but suggesting because they play the service academies= they have an easy schedule is (I'll say this nicely) fuckin' retarded! They schedule nearly unwinnable games every year and get placed in over their head in every single Bowl game.

I listen to Mike and Mike, maybe a total of 15 mins a month, and I happened to hear Greenie bashing Golic about his man-crush on Quinn.

Look at the teams record against the elite teams the last 2 years. Its not that impressive. Charlie better start winning some of the big games soon. Who was the last coach, Ty Winningham (I think). First two years were very simular to Charlies. The fans loved Ty as his career got underway. You see how that turned out. I like ND and casually root for them but Rick Mirer had more hype coming out of college then Brady.

USC has been a problem....but nobody beats freakin USC.
2-1 vs Michigan in the last three isnt bad.
Then the two bowl games vs Ohio St/LSU....Uuuuuuuugly.
Theyve been outclassed on the defensive side of the ball for years now, Weis is an ND guy (Ty wasnt, not that I hold that against him, but I think ND and its alumni did) so he wont be going anywhere soon unless they tank it bad for a couple years.
This season wont be anything great bc the team is loaded with underclassmen. Then again, USC won big with kids so maybe there is hope...
Btw, Ill be in Cbus watching my Youngstown State Penguins take on the Buckeyes on Sept 1. Yes, Ohio St added a 1-AA team this seaon to their schedule!

Did you notice that they had more defensive players drafted than on the "good" side of the ball? Makes me wonder if they aren't well-coached defensively. Weis is the smartest man in the world, and most of his O players claim they never are as well-coached in the pros.

What pro players said that?
