I just joined the site and boy are my arms tired. <laughter, applause> Thank you, I'll be here all week.
Apart from kissing the arse of the site creator by praising him for creating the site I've dreamed of for years (especially the art work) but didn't have the technical know-who or the artistic skills to create, let me state a couple of my goals in joining the site.
Foyst, I have long ached in the scrotilia for R.C. to be returned to his original goth boy identity. Unfortunately for me, I first discovered the Phil's show just as he transformed R.C. into a military academy cadet, and I've only hoyd a few seconds of R.C. as a goth from some old clip on My Crappy Site. Those few seconds, however, caused me to laugh until I almost ejected my colon. While the cadet R.C. can be funny, he has never made me laugh like he did as goth R.C.
Second, I demand that Roland Schwinn be brought back as a full-time character. I DEMAND it! I remember when Phil banished Roland, saying that Roland didn't seem to him to be a fully realized character. I understand what Phil said, but don't agree with it. Roland Schwinn, the man who was unashamed of his blubber, who defied the national obsession with being slim and farted in the general direction of all cardiologists' warnings to obese people to lose their lard; Roland Schwinn, the man who founded Fat Pride, leading legions of the large in protest marches--well, protest shmorgasbords--in unabashed declaration of their love of excessive eating; Roland Schwinn, the man who rescued hundreds of victims of diet and exercise, leading them tenderly through the blimping and the reinflating, restoring them to their former glory; and finally, Roland Schwinn, the man who introduced us to that new form of Christianity, the Regalia, celebrating naked obesity and shoving foot-long Italian heroes down one's gullet with the heel of one's hand while worshipping Jesus. Roland Schwinn, Hero! We need him!
And that, said John, was that.

If you understood Phil, then explain it to me, what did Phil mean by fully realized character? I've heard many shades of the complex and fascinating Roland. And Phil had Roland for a while, at least back to the Miami days.
