BERLIN - A truck spilled two tons of pigs' heads on a road in western Germany, giving passing drivers a shock on the night before Halloween, police said Tuesday.

The accident happened Monday night after the truck turned off a highway in Herne, in the Ruhr region, police in Bochum said.

As the driver accelerated away from a traffic light, the door of his trailer opened, spilling the severed heads onto the road.

It took the fire service, helped by a fork-lift truck, an hour-and-a-half to load the heads back onto the truck.

Guess no need to start another thread when this ones available. And this story fits...

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - A truck driver distracted by his digital music player tipped his semitrailer on Thursday, spilling about 40 tons of cow intestines onto a major highway in eastern Wisconsin.

Parts of Interstate 43 were closed for about two hours while authorities cleaned up beef byproducts such as intestines and bones, said Sgt. Blaine Spicer of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.

The accident happened in the Town of Mosel around 2:15 a.m. when 25-year-old Ryan Engle's truck veered off the road as he adjusted his MP3 player, Spicer said.

Engle, of Kenosha, was cited for inattentive driving, and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Spicer said.

The semi had to be towed from the scene. It is owned by Birchwood Transport, of Kenosha.

Nasty traffic one time here on a county highway - some semi spilled dead and eviscerated PIGS onto the road.

LAlala, oh the fun we have in Indiana - trying not to vomit from the stench of long dead pigs while going by...

To Holland, where else? Those cheap-ass Dutch make a heinous soup called "snert" or something what's got pig extremeties in it, including the melon, if I ain't mistaken.

Billy, have you ever had the skull meat from a cow? The brown boogies actually have a dish where they take the meat inside the skull and simmer it. It's actually quite tastey.

Aren't pig cheeks considered a delicacy? I seem to remember reading recently about a fine restaurant in West L.A. that serves slivers of pig-cheek.

You are correct sir. Although, they're jowls, not cheeks.

As an aside, I went and bought a Cuban pig roaster a few years ago (don't ask, I have no idea why). It's pretty cool, if you're into cooking up whole hogs. But, the best part was that it basically made fresh pork rinds out of the entire skin. :evilbanana:

Meat from around the skull is supposed to be really full flavored and wonderful. So don't behead that fish before you eat it.

Oh, that is so true. The cheek region of fatty fish is absolutely wonderful.
