Anyone eles think that this new movie called 'The Ringer' is based on the South Park episode called 'Up the Down Steroid'. This is where Cartman poses as a Retarded kid in order to win the Special Olympics... and collect a cash prize of course.

The SP episode was damn funny, I would think that Knoxville could pull it off easily.

I read a story somewhere that said it was the other way around. Apearently the movie was written before the SP episode. And the writer of the movie may have actually taken legal action against Matt and Trey, saying that while searching for someone to produce the film, they showed the screen polay to Matt and tre's Production company and then a few monthes later the southpark episode aired. I will try to find a link.

This movie must have been in production FOREVER. I saw a preview for it at the theater when I went to see the last LOTR.
