I haven't played the PS2 version, but what from what I hear the graphics and controls are worse. Its very different, much faster paced, no were near as scary as the other games. Towards the end of the game it really loses its horror theme.

Thanks for the info, Zerath. I heard it was kind of dissapointing as far as RE games go. A lot of new-good improvments but they strayed too far from what made the game the legends that they are.

Anyway, I finished RE4 for Gamecube. I did not think it was that great, it is not your typical RE game. I prefer the old RE style. Try the original remake for the GC.

Good job on the Zelda: Wind Waker game. That is the second best installment of the franchise (behind Ocarina of Time). I dig any Castlevania game for the GBA and the DS. Great games. I'm a Madden and Tiger Woods guy most of the time, but when I diddle around with others, I find the Final Fantasy series to be quite rewarding. Now I'm gonna go pound my face into a wall for using the words "installment", "diddle", and "rewarding" all in the same paragraph. Ciao!

Right now I am kind of on a old school fit. Been playing some of my dated PSOne game. Playing Fear Effect right now. I fogot that this game has a shit load of puzzles. They aint easy either. Purdy though. Still holds up today IMO.

Does anybody here play emulators like MAME? I'm still a big fan of old school arcade games. While I love my PS2, XBOX and gamecube I still like to go back revisit the classics.

Like Today I played "Shao-Lin's Road" which was made by Konami. I haven't played it in a couple of years and my old average was between 400,000~500,000 (Which is a pretty good score) I was playing today and got a much better score than I though I would.....

Hmm anyone ever play this game... "lost in blue" for the DS? There is a sequel coming out and i never heard of the first one. I guess the game is like this... you are stuck on a desert island and must survive alone. Dont really know anything else about it but games that are "different" like this always intrigue me. Well it works with a emulation program called MAME. There are different versions that they have for windows and I use mame32 which I think is the easiest.

Well yes, no and grey area.

Yes. If you want to play it completely safe there are public domain ROM's like Robby Roto. commando, etc. These are free to the public for private use.

No. There have been several companies that have made it clear that they do not want their ROM's downloaded like Nintendo, Namco, etc. For the main reason that they make big money with arcade compilations, etc. They have asked websites to take down their ROMS or face a big lawsuit. IMO I don't think they'll go after individuals as it is not that much of a problem for them not to mention they have bigger things to worry about such as people copying their games.

Gray Area. There are just some games that companies don't use anymore (Because they have moved on or the original company that made it went bankrupt). Such as Jungle Hunt, Zookeeper, etc. The chances that you would be sued for downloading that kind game is unlikely.

Just bought a new copy of Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSOne on eBay. I haven't played this game in about 7 years. Did anyone ever max-out any of thier characters or get all the jobs skills? I tried to when I first played it but after puting in 50+ hours over a one year span I just beat the thing and didn't get any characters higher then level 75. This game kicks ass and I am looking forward to giving it another playthrough.

The first one was good... see, I've been hoping and praying for a "Plan 9 from Outer Space" game for years... D.A.H. wasn't exactly that, but it was still pretty cool...kind of like Grand Theft Auto, except there's not quite as much "free roaming". It's cool, though- there are scenes where you fly around in a flying saucer blowing up midwest cities...sucking brains out of people's skulls... I kinda dug it.

Ed... I own the first Destroy All Humans game and it's great. It's kinda hard, it's got some great comedy, and there's all sorts of cool stuff to do in the manor of side quests, missions, and extra's.

Yeah, I've been meaning to get DAH 1 for a long time, but I keep skipping over it and buying crap (latest crap: Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike, and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within). Didn't know there was a sequel. I'll be gettin' it if it's on Xbox or Wii.
The one sequel I've gotten lately that hasn't sucked is FSW: Ten Hammers. The story's a little weak, but they tried. Ditto for new gameplay elements.

Just got Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PC. While it is a great game, I preferred the X-Men Legends series. The player seems to have more control in the Legends series, keeping the feel of an RPG. Alliance seems more like a button masher action game. Still a good game though, but I was a little disappointed that you couldn't use more characters for your team. Most of the characters they advertise are NPCs. But, like I said, still worth the dough.

Alright. I am a total non-gamer. I haven't played a vid (other than You Dont Know Jack) since Clancy's Spy game or Special Ops. If I was gonna lay down some cash for a fun vid, what would you recommend for PC? For the record, I always preferred games that had riddles and twists to figure out to shoot 'em ups. Maniac Mansion was my fave on Atari 5400 and King's Quest IV on PC in the early 90's. But the forums are slow and I have time to kill in between dodging STD's and liver cirrosis.

I would have to recommend Civilization IV and Pirates. Both are Sid Meier's games and are two of the funnest games I've ever played that weren't FPS (shoot em ups). In Civ IV, you choose to be a historic leader i.e., Napolean, Washington, etc. You choose a planet surface, then try to build your country into a thriving civilization. You can choose to be passive, agreesive etc and either win through war or diplomacy. It is possibly the most addictive video game ever made. A complete game can last about 10-15 hours depending on a few factors, but it's a blast.

Pirates, well it's about Pirates. You captain a ship, sail around looting treasure, sinking ships, finding maps to find hidden treasure, recruiting crew members etc. Again, extremely fun and highly recommended.

If you like war based games, especially WWII period games, the new Company of Heroes is fantastic. It's an RTS (Real Time Stategy). You are basically commanding troops etc. from overhead, but the up close details are amazing. Everyone is raving about this one.

If you like to shoot people you should wait for either the new Crysis game coming out or possibly Unreal Tournament 2007.

Another great non-shooter coming out is Never Winter Nights 2. The first one was fantastic, just very long.

guitar hero: This is probobly the most fun ive had w/ a game in a long time. its got tons of classics and some newer songs from Iron man, Smoke on the water, and Ace of Spades, to Spanish castle magic, Texas flood and, Crossroads by cream. you use a large controller shaped like a gibson SG with 5 color fret buttons and a strum lever and even a killer whammy bar. the multiplayer is very fun when you are trading off w/ someone on a solo or something. any other Guitar hero players out there??

I know the answer and it's a long story. Anybody remember that crappy "The Wizard" which was a over bloated excuse to promote Super Mario Bros. 3? In the movie there was a big gaming competition which Nintendo was also promoting that actually occurred at Universal Studios in L.A. (I believe it was September 1990 if memory serves me right)

I begged my Mom and and she got the tickets for me to go and I went with my friend Mike, his Mom and Me. When we arrived at the park I was pissed when I figured out that they only way to go in was taking the tour (at least that's what they told me.) After the crappy tour we arrived at the park. They gave everybody there a coupon to play in this competition. The line to play in this competition was LONG! So we went to the gaming tent which displayed the latest and greatest games that they had for the N.E.S. at that time. That was reason enough to go alone. So after playing a couple of games we go back to the line where it thinned out a bit.

I finally arrived in the front of the line where they have all of these N.E.S.'s and TV's lined up. The people in charge gave a brief description on how this competition was played. You had five minutes (If I remember correctly) to rack up the highest score possible playing three rounds of three different games. The first round was Super Mario Bros. and the objective was to reach the check point in 1-1, Then the second round was Rad Racer where you have to finish a track A.S.A.P. (points in this round were double), last and not least was Tetris and you had to rack up as many points as possible before time ran out (Points in this round were tripled). When the five minutes ran out the grand total was shown on the bottom of the screen and if you scored higher than 150,000 points you competed on stage in front of a audience with 5 other opponents.

Well is the moment of truth for me. I actually remember very little because everything happened so fast but I lost in what seemed like a blink of a eye. Needless to say I was disappointed, I'd even say pissed. Well we spent the rest of the day looking at the rest of the Attraction when something happened at The Miami Vice attraction. We sat next to this old couple and obviously saw me & my friend. They asked us if were here for the Nintendo Competition. I said "Yeah." They then asked me how I did I then replied "I lost." they told me that was ashame. The old man had two more Nintendo tournament tickets in his hands. I almost kissed him. I know that most of the adults who got those things threw them away and it was pretty cool that they kept them. Long story short we blew the Miami Vice attraction.

I returned to that tournament with the biggest GD grin on my face. I played again and nailed it with more than 200,000 points. I was grinning from ear to ear. I thought I was going to be the big winner. I got cocky (which was my first mistake). So with-in moments of winning I was escorted on stage. One of the workers there asked me my name and I said "Shon" They wrote it on a board and displayed it in front of the monitor that I was going to play. I then got nervous. Being nervous and cocky is not a good combination. So the host that event introduced us and within moments the competition began. I flew into the lead finishing before all the other opponents. I thought I had it nailed.....then tetris came. I figured since I had so much much that I'd really rub it in by making as many tetris' as possible. Well I was doing good before I ran into trouble. I was not getting any GD line pieces to compete them. I forgot to mention the host would from time to time comment on our individual performances. Worse yet there was a big screen behind us that displayed that "individual" performance. Well not only was I getting razed by the host everybody in audience can now see it on the big screen. The pressure got to me and I finished.......dead last. I was crushed for years I wouldn't even acknowledge to anybody that I went there because of what happened.

Well to answer your question. The reason those cartridges cost $15,000 is because there was only 15 made (If I remember correctly)because of that it is one of the rarest games of all time.

the best balanced RTS of all time. in the hayday of battle.net there was nothing better then Clan 4v4 battles or 5 player FFAs. spent many weekends glued to the screen with my fellow comrades. im there w/ ya savvy, my favs were the terrans too. zerg was super fun but theres nothing like building an indestructable base. and lets not forget seige tanks.

I own and love both Eternal Darkness and Baten Kaitos. Both amazing games, I still won't play Eternal Darkness at night.

I bought Ace Combat ZERO afew monthes ago, (i think it is the one after ace combat 5) I must say i really enjoyed it. I got all the way to the last level and couldnt beat the dude in the dog fight, but im cool with that. I definatly got my enjoyment out of the game though. From what i heard Ace Combat 5 is pretty much the same. I think you will like it :thumbsup: Let me know what you think of it, I actually thought about getting 5 after all the fun i had playing zero.

Well i have been playing this for a few days. Ill try to knock out a surgery or two a day. The first few were relatively simple the last one i did took me a good 6 or 7 times to do. Everything the reviews say is true. It is very easy to get into the game and as the surgery is going on it will consume your focus. i usually turn the sound down with games... or t least play some phil in the background. With Trauma center, i couldnt tell you if the kitchen was on fire.

The Stylus controls everything and it is used really well. So far its been great fun. I dont know how long the game is, it is broken up into chapters, the first had 8 "missions" so ta speak. and i am only on the 2nd mission of the 2nd chapter so i imagine there is quite a bit left for me. Like i said the last surgery was damn tough, but when i finally got it right i felt like someone owed me a beer!

When it comes to collecting games and various equipemnt I always go to thrift stores, pawn shops, etc. because that's where you get the real deals. As a matter of fact the other day I was at the salvation army and got Tiger Heli, Pipe Dream, Super Glove Ball for the NES and Mortal Kombat for the Genesis and got it all for under $7. If I got that on ebay I'd probably would have paid alot more plus shipping.

I can safely warn everyone against the new Star Trek game: Legacy. Every review I've seen, from professionals to normal players, says this game blows acres of gay syphilitic bearded Canadian donkies.

Invest in a $5.00 copy of Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates. 16 playable races, each with a single player storyline. Multiplayer is sweet too, with all servers being free of charge. All in all, it's the best tactical space combat game.

The Hitman game was really fun too. There's nothing that helps to blow off steam after a bad day than walking down the street, casually shooting passersby.

Dude you want the DS LITE, thats the newer version. The DS lite has built in wifi, so as long as you have wireless connection at home you are good to go, no extra adaptors needed! They come in a variety of colors, so i would suggest you try to find a nice pink one, you know to match your Pampers.

I know you said you hate space game FPSs, but metroid was cool and made good use of the stylus control. Everyone seemed to really like the Online battle modes of that , but i sucked and lost everytime i played. It wasn't my deal. Star Fox was cool too, i actually won the battle modes in that regulary, and the 1 player game was fun, but short.

Those are the only other online games ive played, ive gotten rid of them by now though.

All you have to do to play against a friend is make sure you have the friend code stored , then when you get online and have to select the type of match select friends, I think the other two options are rivals and worlwide or somthing. you will see a little friend icon by the connection icon, letting you know some friends are online. Then you just have to wait for the game to connect and start up, which is sometimes frustrating. I still need a few minutes i should be ready shortly.

Just had my first online brawl with Ed on Kart. What a fuckin' gas. I'm talkin' just straight-up FUNNY.
