Is it just me or, given the massive cult status of Strong Bad over the last three years, "Nacho Libre" comes outta nowhere and decides to run with the otherwise dead, old-time Mexican wrestler shtick? Nothing original under the sun anymore.

Yeah, Terry Gross did an NPR expose on it a few years back with Matt Chapman, and once NPR gets something out there, Hollywood pounces on it and exploits it till it farts dust (popular example: the theme song to "The Sopranos.") Also, same goes with Bobbie Dooley's theme: All of a sudden, it's showing up in "Madagascar" - no doubt in my mind stolen by some unorginal, idea-thieving Hollywood suckling pig.

I heard that, too (and other outfits making offers, too). Thank God those two clowns held out. The worst thing about the internet is over-exposure. Everything eventually finds its way into the giant, heinous corotid artery of VH1.
