Ha! Every year that goes by, Portland becomes known more and more as a good "beer town".

My sister in law lives in Eugene and I'm going there over Thanksgiving. Any ideas for cool stuff to do?

Besides attending the monthly anarchist spagehtti feed in Eugene, Oregon has some beautiful Coastline.

I would recommend hiking up to the top of Spencer's Butte. There are also a lot of bikepaths in Eugene. Riding on the path on the Willamette River and through the U of O campus is nice. Unfortunately it will probably be raining like hell in November. If you enjoy beer you should check out a Mcmenamins pub, the High Street Brewery and Cafe is the best one in Eugene.

In Eugene??? Good luck! IIIII'm kidding. I guess you could make a trip to Bend which is only like an hour away from Eugene. Sun River is a great place, Ka-nee-tah is awesome as well. As far as stuff in Eugene, I don't know, you'll have to ask your sis.

I think we're flying into Portland and then making our way down to her place so we'll try to hit all of the areas of interest around there.

Don't ask people from Eugene, they do obscene things with their immediate family down there.
You could always attend the "Get Nude and Dance around a Campfire" ritual in the forest, which takes place nightly there.

Let's put it this way: if you enjoy sitting inside smoking tons of reefer and staring at rain coming down in sheets, you'll have a great time.
