it depends on how much we go over. we already went over for the month a few days ago. it's not a huge amount to pay but id rather conserve as much as possible.

I read the faq on the ImageShack website and it seemed to indicate that it still uses bandwidth of your website, even though the picture is hotlinked. Yet if it is in thumbnail version, it does not use your site's bandwidth. I did not see a difinative answer, though. Is it o.k. to post images on the "Random Images" thread in "The 5th Ring" ? Or should people hold off ?

Should be fine. Turns out most of the bandwidth is being used by googlebot web crawlers.
So if you see one, smash it with your shoe.

I suggest using www.tinypic.com or some such thing to upload pics and link them here. That will not use SFJ bandwidth.

1. go to www.tinypic.com
2. upload your pic
3. copy the IMG....../IMG result
4. paste it here

I now have it set to allow googlebot to only search through posts and not every GD thing on the site. Should cut down on bandwidth. We've gone over limit twice this month and I need to pay again.
