The Ali G indahouse movie was extremly lame, but the Ali G in the US (HBO) episodes are great. I am rewatching season one. sweet jesus he cracks me up.

His interviews are great because he acts like a complete dumbass. He is supposedly supposed to be doing the interviews for a youth television, but its all a scam. The people he interviews don't want to be "uncool" so they let him interview them.

How would they make a Borat movie work? It would have to be just like the show, with interviews of unsuspecting victims. They try to do him as a character in a story and it will blow chimp.
