Update Me On Phil

Hey, I stopped listening to Phil's show when he "quit" radio, went to TRN, and made some of the worst bits I've ever heard intermixed with 2 hours of rants. Recently I've been nostalgic and have been listening to a good deal of the classic bits from my collection, and today I did a search and noticed his show is back on KFI. (like I said I'm a bit out of the Phil loop).

I guess the first question I have is "is the show any good?". How does it compare to the classic phil stuff? I searched through a few of the forums and didn't really see much talk about them, so that may not be a good sign

Also, from KFI's website says he's only on Saturdays, but on Phil's website he still has shows from most days of the week. Is he still doing the crappy podcast style shows for TRN or something, and are the Saturday shows the only official ones? Or, is he now on KFI regularly?

Lastly, if the new KFI stuff is worth listening to is there any good place to check out archived bits. I used to love Retardtraffic, but wasn't sure if it was still up or if anyone was bothering to preserve his newer stuff.

He's working for TRN on weeknights. It's a situation he desperately wants to get out of. And now his TRN show prep consists of spending 10 minutes before air time going through ideas that fans have sent in & picking one.

In a way I don't blame him for putting zero effort in. At the time his TRN show goes out, most of the stations that he's on reduce their transmitter power down so much that it only reaches a tiny audience. Sometimes, he doesn't get any calls at all.

Nobody on SFJ bothers listening anymore, but if you're going to, just stick to the KFI show. You can download a podcast of that from the KFI site, I think.

For further questions, you're better off going over to our sister site SFJ2. There are lots of people over there who still have Backstage Passes for Hendrie's website. If you ask them nice, they'll point you in the direction of Phil's off air meltdown rants. They're the funniest thing he's done for years.
